The inaugural Inspire Cambridge, presented by Velvet Magazine launched at Quy Mill Hotel & Spa, alongside the well-established Cambridge Art Fair last month.
Inspire Cambridge, sponsored by John Lewis Home Design Service, Sworders Auctioneers and David Hall Kitchen & Furniture Makers, attracted thousands of visitors and a wonderful collection of exhibitors in the home, property, food and drink industries from across the East of England region.
Thank you to our wonderful sponsors and exhibitors and to all those who came along to support the event. We look forward to developing the event for 2019 so that it attracts even more fantastic independent businesses from across the region.
The 'dust' is settling after Cambridge Art Fair #6, still the largest sale of high quality, 20th and 21st century original fine art in the eastern region.
Moving Cambridge Art Fair to a new venue just outside the city was always going to be a controversial, nerve-wracking decision. But we needn't have worried- feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike was overwhelmingly positive about the new venue/location. The ample free parking next to the venue made a huge difference to everyone who attended the art fair, in whatever capacity.
Sales were up, year on year, during a period of economic uncertainty and a much greater proportion of our visitors than ever before either bought original art or were intending to buy.
We would like to thank our sponsors Hannay Robertson Financial Planning and our charity partners The David Parr House for contributing so greatly to the event.
We look forward to welcoming you to 2019!
We are very pleased to announce that Cambridge Art Fair 2018 will take place in The Cambridge Roar’s new and improved marquee at Quy Mill Hotel & Spa, just a few minutes drive north east of Cambridge.
The marquee will be over 1,000 square metres in size and is heated/air-conditioned with solid sides and extensive glazed panel areas. It also features a sturdy suspended cartridge floor and overnight on-site security. It is the host venue for the fantastic Cambridge Roar festival of events supporting local charities. The Cambridge Roar is now in it's 4th year and has raised over £85,000 to date.
A large area of grass adjacent to the marquee will be set aside for event-specific car parking, which will be FREE for exhibitors and visitors.
